This pictures are amazing. It's hard to believe that they are computer generated. What a great idea and a great tribute to an amazing president. Excellent artistry. Congrats.
It's surprising how much difference a color picture of Lincoln is!
Very impressive work. Is it just me, or does the model's nose look a bit off? The bridge seems a bit wide, and a bit more curved than I'd expect. (Compared to this, which I think is an actual photo.)
If you're doing video, I guess you've had to model Lincoln's hands and general movements too. Sounds like a lot of work; I look forward to seeing it.

P.S. I hope we won't see Lincoln in commercials any time soon...
Looks like a banana in that bowl of fruit. If you're going to recreate Lincoln's surroundings, a little more care to prevent anachronisms should be taken. I very much doubt breadfruit would be found in Lincoln's fruit bowl.
I am struck by Lincoln's low-set ears and shape of Lincoln's ears (protruding or "bat" ears) in both the picture of Lincoln at the desk and the 4 3-D models. I am aware of past speculation that Lincoln may have had Marfan Syndrome, but I am not sure if low-set ears is a feature of Marfan's. Would the creators of the images care to comment on this point? The pictures themselves are spectacular but I have mixed feelings on whether this is how Lincoln, or any other public person, for that matter, should be "captured in time"... something to do with honesty and integrity, I guess.
Very nice. The picture of Lincoln with the officer is unsettling, and it took me a moment to figure out why. Looking at historical photos of W. T. Sherman or Grant, one is struck by the ferocity and gravity of their expressions.
Neither Lincoln nor the officer projects the bearing or gravitas I would expect. This is a quibble- I think the work is fascinating. But this tiny sort of detail would be useful, I think.
I assume you're referring to the yellow cone-shaped fruit as the banana. Looks more like the top of a pear, to me.
But there's no reason to think the White House didn't have any bananas around. This book review says:
Bananas, once an exotic fruit in the United States, rapidly became widely available in the 1870s. They were the first affordable fresh fruit available year-round in the United States.
Surely the President is allowed the occasional exotic fruit?
These Pictures are fantastic. Just one point though, the second pic shows Lincoln reading a paper. Lincoln had to use reading glasses by this time, and it would have added even more realism to the image to have included them. Still, these are fantastic.
Studio Macbeth was established in 1979. We have been creating digital illustration and animation for the entertainment, scientific and advertising communities for for the past 20 years. The focus of our work is realism while retaining a painterly sensibility to light and form.
Our medical and scientific work is clearly distinguishable from that of our competitors by its "watchability". Using Hollywood style cinematographic techniques, our visual productions recognize and address the sophistication of the viewer. Our central focus is to embed accurate and detailed science in an artistic envelope.
Our entertainment and general illustration and animation work takes a complementary approach to our scientific work. For the general public, we use a scientific approach to our visualizations to create an aesthetic believability. Our goal here is to reclaim some of the painterly artistry which has largely been lost since the advent of computerization.

Oh my god, it's David Brinkley with a beard.
Jeez. I feel like I could walk right into that second image and shake his hand. Outstanding work.

I think he may be holding the reading glasses in his hand. Looks like he took them off for a minute, as he was glancing up to address the viewer.
Agreed that the pics are fantastic.
banana is on the front bottom right, dumbfarts.
